The Century College Choir is a mixed chorus of 30-40 voices. They perform varied and ambitious programs drawn from the standard choral repertoire from the Renaissance through the present. They often collaborate with the Normandale Concert Choir and with the Century Orchestra to present larger works.

Rehearsals are Thursday evenings in the Choir Room (W2040).

Century College Choir is open to all students and is non-auditioned. Students must register for MUSC1000 to receive credit for singing in the Choir. For more information, contact the Director, Erik Christiansen, at 651-779-3212.

The Century Chamber Orchestra rehearses and performs a wide variety of orchestral music in a series of concerts during the academic year. The primary objective is to develop the musicians’ playing ability and their understanding of orchestral technique and literature.

Rehearsals are on Monday evenings from 7 - 9:30pm, in the band room (W2045). The orchestra gives three concerts during the academic year on Saturday afternoons, typically in November, March and May.

Century Chamber Orchestra is open to Century students and community musicians with previous performing experience. An audition and interview with the conductor is required. For more information, contact Elliot Wilcox at 651-779-3214.

The Century College Community Concert Band is a 50-member ensemble made up of Century students, community members, and alumni, representing a wide range of interests and professional careers.

Rehearsals are held Tuesday evenings from 7 – 9:15 pm. The band presents concerts quarterly at Century College.

The Concert Band provides performance opportunities for musicians who enjoy playing wind and percussion instruments. The band performs music covering a broad spectrum of literature from the Baroque through Contemporary periods.

Prospective members are welcome to sit in at a rehearsal to see the level of musicianship expected.

The Theatre Orchestra is an ensemble that serves as the pit orchestra for musical theatre productions at Century. Musical productions occur every other spring semester.

Rehearsals are held Thursday evenings, 7-8:50pm, in the Band Room (W2045) beginning generally in February. Extra rehearsals during tech week would also be required. Performances typically occur on weekends in late April-early May.
