In late March, 2020 federal legislation was passed to provide economic relief to individuals and organizations dealing with the ramifications of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This legislation titled the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (or CARES Act) established a Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) for colleges and universities in the United States. Century College and institutions of higher education across the nation received funds to support the impact of COVID-19 on the institution.

Century received $2,498,135 under Sections 18004(a)(1) Institutional Portion to support the impact of COVID-19 on the institution and received $20,164 under Section 18004(a)(2), as Century is eligible to participate as an 84.425L (Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) institution; Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions (AANAPISI).

The following information is provided by Century College in response to the Department of Education’s quarterly reporting requirements (due September 30, December 31, March 31, and June 30). The below report includes the budget and expenditure reporting for the period as indicated.

Century College also received aid for Emergency Financial Aid Grants distributed to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.
