Auggie

I like finance and arts & crafts. As a hobby, I make my friends start retirement accounts. That made me realize I could try to turn my hobby into a job. Now, I’m an aspiring finance major. I’m hoping to transfer to the Carlson School of Management at the U of M next school year. If I continue along this path, I hope to one day become a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley and make the big bucks. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. There are lots of people who want to help you, but also remember the only person who can make it happen is you.

I am in the Health Science program. I am a born and raised Minnesotan with a passion for helping others. I have had a very positive experience so far at Century, a big part of that due to the Start Right advisors. I took this position as a peer mentor because I think being able to help new students through this program is an amazing opportunity! I have many hobbies, including reading, writing, singing, anything outdoors, and watching shows and movies!

I was born in Kuwait with my heart in Jordan; I’ve now made Minnesota my home. Currently, I’m
diving deep into Computer Science and AI (Artificial Intelligence) at Century College, and I’ve set
my sights on the University of Minnesota Twin Cities for my next step. What’s my big dream? To lead my very own AI company. Beyond college, my interests are diverse. From the athletic rush of calisthenics and soccer to the strategic world of chess — I like to think of it as the gym for my brain. If you see me around, let’s chat!

I am originally from Nigeria, West Africa. I am an Engineering student here at Century College and
hope to transfer to the University of Minnesota for my bachelor’s degree. I hope to become an
Electrical Engineer someday soon.

My first year as a community college student was very tough; because I am not a traditional student, it was hard to juggle everything I was doing, like work, school, etc. I had to learn to become better at managing my time well and scheduling my priorities right. Even though I still have challenging days, it gets better!

I am from the city of St. Paul, Minnesota. I am finishing my degree in 3D Modeling and
Animation and aiming to transfer to the University of Tokyo. I plan to continue my studies in art and double major in International Relations. I had a rough first year. I learned that it was incredibly common for first-year students to give up and believe that they had failed. I decided to become a peer mentor to help students define and succeed in their goals in the
