If you are graduating or transferring from Century College, congratulations! IT Solutions is here to give you the information you need, no matter what your next steps are. Review the frequently asked questions below to learn more about how your school accounts will be affected when you graduate or transfer:

If you are graduating or transferring to a college outside Minnesota State, you will lose access to your email and Office 365 account one year after you were last enrolled in Century College.

If you are transferring to another college in the system, or you graduate but re-enroll at another college before 1 year has passed, you will still have access to the same Office 365 account, but your Century email address will no longer send to your account.

For example, if you graduate from Century on December 16, 2020, but then re-enroll at Minnesota State University-Mankato in May 2021, you will login to your email and Office 365 account the same way: StarID@go.minnstate.edu and your StarID password.

You will still use the same email inbox. After a year of not attending classes at Century, if someone sends an email to your Century College email (YourFirstName.YourLastName@my.century.edu), you will not receive that email.

1 year after your last date of enrollment, you will additionally lose access to MyCentury, LinkedIn Learning, printing, and the Virtual Computer Lab.

If you graduate and re-enroll at a MinnState college, or if you transfer to a different MinnState college, you will be able to continue using your Office 365, Zoom, and Mediaspace accounts with your StarID credentials.

If you are graduating from Century, you can join the Century Alumni Association and get a member ID that gives you certain benefits, including access to:

-Career Services

-the Library

-Fitness Center

All on-campus Century visitors and guests can create Guest WiFi accounts, and may use Century College computers.

What do I need to do before I graduate or transfer?

Have you applied for graduation yet?

If you used our Free Technology Loaner program to borrow a Chromebook, desktop computer, or WiFi hotspot, you must return the equipment to the computer lab on time before you plan to leave Century.

We ask that you return the equipment to one of the computer centers (either E1800 or W3165) by the last day of Finals Week so we have enough time to prepare the equipment for other students.

If you are graduating or transferring outside Minnesota State colleges, you will eventually lose access to your Office 365 account, but if you plan to transfer to another MinnState college, you will still use that account at your new institution.

If you are transferring to a college inside Minnesota State, you will still use the same Office 365 account. However, your email will change. One year after your last day of enrollment at Century College, your Century email will no longer deliver to that inbox.

If you need to change your preferred email to your new institution, you can do so from StarID Self Service.

What if I take classes at Century in the future?

As a returning student you already have an active StarID account, but you may need to complete a few additional steps before you can get full access to everything you need. Your next steps will depend on how long it’s been since you attended Century College!

Less than one semester

When you return less than a semester after you last took classes at Century, you do not have to reapply to Century College. You can login to eServices with your StarID and StarID password and register. However, StarID passwords expire every 180 days so it is possible your password might have expired and you will need to reset it before you can register for classes again.

Change your StarID Password after it has Expired

Use this option to change your password after it has expired, or if you have forgotten your password.

Go to StarID Self Service
Click Reset Password.
Select one of the following options (i.e. “I know my Tech ID” or “I know my personal email address”)
Enter the appropriate information and then set your password.

Now that your StarID password has been reset, you can login to Century eServices, and register for classes.

Sign into eServices

Click Login in the top right corner of this webpage.
Select eServices.
Enter your StarID and your new StarID password.

More than one semester

When you return more than a semester after you last took classes at Century, you have to reapply. StarID passwords expire every 180 days so it is possible your password might have expired and you will need to reset it.
